The seventh annual Friday Night Lights meet in Simpsonville, S.C., was comprised almost entirely of South Carolina schools.

Christ School track & field crashed the party.

Wednesday was a reminder that Christ School track & field remains the most dominant boys program in the Carolinas Athletic Association.

The Greenies stacked up 165 team points to easily top meet host Asheville School (108), Rabun Gap (45), Asheville Christian Academy (14), and Carolina Day (12).

Dawson Reeves ’24 has committed himself to running full-time this year and the Christ School record book may never be the same.

Most people associate Aydan White ’20 with football and rightfully so. But there has never been a 110-meter hurdler like him at Christ School either.

HighSchoolOT.com has recognized the school record-holder in the event with a place on its West All-Senior Track & Field Team.

Christ School is well-represented on the list of finalists for the 2020 Western North Carolina Sports Awards presented by Ingles.

Andrew Hammel ’20, Aydan White ’20, and Davis Lindsey ’20 are in the running for awards as are a pair of Greenie state-championship teams from 2019 – Lacrosse and Track & Field.

Today, the Christ School Athletic Department continues a week-long celebration of the Class of 2020’s spring sports athletes on our website and @greeniesports social media. Each day will be devoted to a different sport, with that coach reflecting on what the seniors meant to the program and the school.

Christ School’s winter track program trekked to the University of Kentucky High School Invitational for the fourth consecutive year and returned home with a handful of personal records. 

Christ School’s Class of 2020 has been so distinguished in the classroom and various athletic settings that it called for a third commitment ceremony Wednesday.

The rising freshman from Christ School became a national champion Tuesday at the USA Track & Field National Youth Outdoor Championships in Durham, N.C.

Christ School teams won a Carolinas Athletic Association conference championship in every spring sport, success that has been justly rewarded with the release of the Asheville Citizen-Times’ annual All-Western North Carolina teams.

On Saturday, the Christ School Track squad will compete at the University of Kentucky Invitational in Lexington, KY. The meet will be held inside Nutter Field House where last season, the Greenies took home three top eight finishes in the two mile, long and triple jumps.

Kevin Snyder' 19 made an impact for Christ School Track and Field immediately as a freshman, but with help from Head Coach Randy Ashley and Demeseh Cobb, he transformed himself into an All-American jumper and one of the most decorated athletes in North Carolina. He will take that experience and compete at the Division I level next year. Snyder committed to the University of Miami on Monday, accepting a full athletic scholarship that will allow him to compete in the ACC for the next four years.

On May 18th and 19th, the NCISAA 3A State Track Championship was held at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, NC. Christ School had 16 boys on the State track roster and all came ready to compete. The 2018 spring season was loaded with strong individual results and the boys were finally prepped and charged to go after the best teams in the NCISAA 3A class.

All year long, the Greenies have pushed themselves for this weekend. After narrowly missing out on a state championship last season, the Track & Field team set their sights high in 2018, and the weekend has finally arrived.

The Greenies Track and Field team had the opportunity to host the CAA Conference Meet and didn't disappoint as they dominated the competition.

This weekend, four members of the Track and Field team traveled with Coach Cobb to the Penn Relays, the oldest and most prestigious track meet in the country, to compete in the 4x400m and the long jump.
