Getting Involved
What is Greenie Parents?
ALL parents and legal guardians of present Christ School students are automatically members of the Christ School parent group – Greenie Parents. The objectives of Greenie Parents is to establish a helpful two-way communication between the parents of Christ School and the administration, to foster a relationship between each student’s family and the school that will benefit the student and help the school fulfill its mission, and to seek ways in which parents can be directly involved in making the students’ experiences at the school positive and productive.
Greenie Parents is a group of volunteers dedicated to enhancing student, family, and staff life at Christ School. Members are led by a Leadership Team consisting of a Parent Chair (or co-chairs), Form Parent Representatives, Committee Chairs, Advancement Staff, and a staff liaison who meet monthly. Greenie Parents activities and events are funded solely by donation.
Greenie Parents help promote Christ School to the general public, assist in securing financial support of parents for the school, assist in the recruiting of qualified students for the school, and in general, is an active and involved part of the Christ School community.
Greenie Parents host general meetings on an as-needed basis virtually or on the Christ School campus and also coordinate the creation of various other committees that work to accomplish the objectives of Greenie Parents. The bulk of communication from Greenie Parents is via monthly Parent Letters sent by the parent representative for each grade which will include upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and general information. Additionally, parents are invited to join a GroupMe chat which is also set up by form.
