Christ School and Charlotte Providence Day were clearly on another level than every other team Saturday at the NCISAA Division I Championship Track Meet.
The Chargers had a little too much firepower in the end.
Led by individual wins from senior Painter Richards-Baker ’21 in the 110-meter hurdles (14.83 seconds) and 300-meter hurdles (39.17), the Greenies placed second with 107 points to Providence Day (151).
Rocky Hansen ’23 was the runner-up in the meet’s first championship race Saturday morning with a personal-record time in the 3,200-meter run (9:32.20). Quinton Cancel ‘23 was third in the triple jump (42 feet, 10.5 inches) and the rest of the top-three showings for Christ School came in the relays.
