Two opponents so far in the Florida League High School Invitational have committed a total of nine errors. But the Greenies’ scrappiness and speed has a lot to do with that.

Day Student Proctor and fifth-year senior Jacob Wilde ’24 had the best kind of Blue Christmas.

Jacob verbally committed Monday to play baseball for Brevard College, whose predominant color is blue.

No one is looking forward to baseball in 2024 more than Reese Ballard ’24.

He only got four games under his belt last spring before losing the rest of his junior season to an injury.

As of Friday, there are now 10 seniors from Christ School’s Class of 2024 who have committed to play college sports.

Catcher, outfielder, corner infielder, and relief pitcher.

Christ School baseball coach Wes King P’27 can theoretically put Jake Gravley ’24 just about everywhere in his lineup.

Already part of the Christ School Athletic Hall of Fame, Pat was recently added to the N.C. Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Just ask state champion High Point Wesleyan how effective Charlie Collins ’24 can be when his stuff is working.

Charlie gave up only two earned runs, six hits, and no walks when Christ School varsity baseball soundly beat the Trojans, 14-4, back on April 1.

Christ School varsity baseball players and coaches huddled up Wednesday in shallow right field, as they always do, and agreed to a harsh critique of their 10th win.

Parker Beiland ’24 lit up Asheville School for five goals, all in the first half, and by that time Christ School varsity lacrosse was off to races for Tuesday’s 20-5 road win.

Rest assured, had there been a seventh inning on Saturday, no one else was finishing the game for Charlie Collins ’24.

With his stoicism and placement, the right-hander from Bryson City, N.C., gave Christ School varsity baseball a defining performance and said he still had more in him after 93 pitches.
