Christ School commences with its 122nd year of classes Tuesday and enrollment has never been higher in the long and storied history of the school.

Sunday's Convocation ceremony was the first full gathering of 300 boys from 18 different states and eight countries.

Hampton Haney ‘12 proudly stood next to a practice green at the Waynesville (N.C.) Inn and Golf Club last week, explaining that the putting surface is made of the finest bentgrass on the market.

“This is a special place. I took my first steps here and I’ve played here all my life,” Hampton said.

“It’s like everything has come full circle.”

All indications are that Christ School will start classes August 16 with record enrollment, a testament to the enduring strength of the Long Green Line in the school’s 122nd year.

As of Tuesday, there were 300 boys registered for the 2022-23 academic year.

Since its founding in 2002, Christ School’s Lacrosse Program has grown into one of the best in the Southeast U.S. Now entering its third decade, Greenies lacrosse has a new leader at the helm.
