Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) have spoken to Christ School boys for some time now, as evidenced by the number of alumni who’ve sought out those disciplines in their professional careers.
The curriculum has evolved over the years accordingly. And the creation of a robotics team under the Christ School banner felt like a logical next step.
Now in its second year, the program nicknamed “Team 9298 Greeni3s” is off to a commendable start.
The boys loaded up their robot for a bus ride across North Carolina the weekend of April 15-17. Team 9298 Greeni3s placed 30th at the FIRST Robotics FRC State Championship in Greenville, N.C. Their season also included winning a district competition for the first time.
