Jake Gravley '24 has signed to play college baseball for Asbury University in Kentucky.

Friday was a real “signature” moment as Christ School celebrated 12 seniors and their families with the year’s first Athletic Commitment Ceremony.

Each of the Greenies were given their own introduction to a big crowd in Mebane Field House. The boys wore their green blazers and were invited to bring a hat or other article of clothing from their future college.

The signees included:

  • Parker Beiland (Queens University of Charlotte lacrosse).
  • Jamari Briggs (USC Upstate basketball).
  • Bryson Cokley (George Mason University basketball).
  • Charlie Collins (Western Carolina University baseball).
  • Khalil Conley (University of North Carolina football).
  • Eyob Gill (Howard University cross country and track).
  • Jake Gravley (Asbury University baseball).
  • Josh Harrison (Wake Forest University football).
  • Jakob Iwanek (Maryville College football).
  • Cayden Jones (University of Alabama football).
  • Lucas Little (York College of Pennsylvania lacrosse).
  • Dawson Reeves (Duke University cross country and track).

The Class of 2024 is one of the largest in school history with 76 students, and the early decisions by this group means that 15 percent of the class has already made its college plans.

Since 2020, there have been 97 Greenies who have committed or signed to play at the next level, including four who are currently part of the Class of 2025. A full list of all current and past collegiate athletes can be found here. More photos from Friday's ceremony are available for viewing at this link.
