The Admission Office is Open

Although our campus is closed to students and outside groups during the COVID-19 pandemic, our Admission Office is still open. We also plan to open for the 2020-21 school year on schedule and on time.

The office can still provide tours of campus and interviews by appointment only. We have put into place certain procedures to limit the risk to prospective families and staff. Please contact the Admission Office at 828-684-6232 or admission@christschool.org to schedule a tour and learn more about the admission process.

Admission FAQs During the COVID-19 Crisis

What if I am interested in taking a tour of campus?

The Admission Office is happy to provide tours of campus by appointment only. This is to ensure that all visitors take certain precautions to protect themselves and the Christ School community. If you’re interested in taking a tour of campus, reach out to the office at admission@christschool.org or 828-684-6232 ext. 106.

What if I am interested in applying to Christ School?

Christ School’s Admission Office is still accepting applications for admission. If you need assistance finding an online application, then please contact us at admission@christschool.org or 828-684-6232 ext. 106.

If I have questions, will someone be available to answer them?

The Admission Office will be open from 9AM until 3PM daily and is prepared to answer questions at 828-684-6232 ext. 106 or admission@christschool.org. Please let us know how we may help.

The application for admission calls for current teacher recommendations and school transcripts. What if my current school is temporarily closed?

Applicants should submit as many of the materials as possible. If your current school is unable to send required documents, then we are open to discussing alternative materials so you can receive an admission decision in a timely manner.

Will Christ School waive standardized testing requirements?

With recent cancelations on regularly scheduled SSAT tests, we are willing to waive test requirements for students seeking admission for the Fall of 2020 if a student is unable to submit an SSAT or alternative standardized test.

How will I fulfill the interview requirement for admission if I cannot come to campus?

If the COVID-19 virus prevents you from doing an in-person interview, then the Admission Office is happy to schedule an interview via Skype, FaceTime, or telephone.
