SCOIR

The College Guidance Office uses a program called SCOIR to integrate college searches, building college lists, learning about fit, and career assessments while still enabling them to send the required documents to colleges. At the end of junior year, students will begin building their college lists in SCOIR and will complete a student survey for their counselor. Parents also have the ability to add schools to their child’s list of prospective colleges and will be asked to complete their own parent survey.

The office highly encourages students to complete the YouScience aptitude assessment. The results of this assessment show students their strengths, matching majors and careers, and will provide a list of words that can be used in essays and teacher letters to best describe the student. Please see attachment and this link for more information.

Financial Aid

We are grateful to our colleague Courtney Hatch Blauvelt, Director of College Counseling at Miss Hall’s School in Massachusetts, for sharing some great resources she developed to help walk Juniors and Seniors through the financial aid process. Please follow the links below, and reach out to your assigned counselor should you have any questions!
