Colleges Begin Visits to Campus

Greenies to host admission representatives throughout school year

Christ School's College Guidance Office is there every step of the way when a Greenie is plotting out his future, but no one knows the ins and outs of a particular college better than one of its admissions representatives. And starting this week, the Christ School student body will have a chance to speak with those reps face-to-face on campus.

The first four colleges lined up for visits to Christ School are:

  • University of Richmond (Tuesday at 1:55 p.m.)
  • Birmingham-Southern College (Wednesday at 1:05 p.m)
  • Furman University (Thursday at 9:30 a.m.)
  • Hampden-Sydney College (Thursday at 1:35 p.m.)

If interested, boys should sign up at least 24 hours in advance, either online through the Naviance Family Connection program or on sheets posted outside the College Guidance Office. Kirk Blackard, who is head of the College Guidance Office, said there will be a special presentation by West Point and the ROTC program next week in Pingree Auditorium.

The College Guidance Office will continue to update students on more visits as they are confirmed. College Guidance is a three-man department consisting of Blackard, Jeff Depelteau, and Thomas Becker.
