David Page Harris Society

The David Page Harris Society is named in honor of David Page Harris, former longtime Headmaster of Christ School. Commonly referred to as "Mr. Dave", served as Headmaster from 1925 to 1967. Established in 1999, the society now recognizes more than seventy-five alumni and friends of Christ School as members of the Society.

Membership in the Society is open to those individuals who have made provisions for Christ School in their estate plans. Such provisions can take many forms, including: a bequest, the designation of Christ School as a beneficiary of retirement assets, life insurance policy or a charitable trust, the assignment of a title to real property, or through another planned gift arrangement.

Proceeds from bequests are directed according to the donor's wishes, although we encourage gifts to the school's endowment.

Membership in the David Page Harris Society signals the donor's understanding that the future of Christ School is ensured by thoughtful and careful planning today. Because of the variety of tools and opportunities available, you can achieve your dreams and leave your lifeprints on the school, opening new opportunities for future generations of young men who attend the school.

The Advancement Office would be happy to have a confidential conversation with you if you are interested in becoming a member of the David Page Harris Society. Contact the Advancement Office at advancement@christschool.org or 828-684-6232, ext. 145 for more information.
