Varsity soccer broke through in a big way Friday afternoon.
One of our captains, Carson Campbell ’21, had a goal and two assists in the Greenies’ 4-0 shutout at Asheville Christian Academy. Truett Compton ’25, Carter Compton ’24, and Fernando Machuca ’22 accounted for the other three goals to propel Christ School to its first win of the season. Fernando also gave out an assist.
Ben Yang '24 and Billy Thackston '21 split time at goalkeeper, and along with the rest of the defense, kept the Lions (2-5-0) off the scoreboard.
Christ School improves to a 1-5-0 overall and travels to Asheville School on Tuesday. A doubleheader against the Blues begins with the JV game at 4 p.m.
