Despite playing a man down for the final 32 minutes, Christ School varsity soccer was able to escape East Henderson with a 3-2 road win Monday night.
Goal scorers for the Greenies were Truett Compton ’25 (assist from Jackson Knoll ’23), Jaron Richardson ’23, and James Mennell ’24.
The final goal came on a long, direct free kick from James, taken from the left side of the field. The ball arched in perfectly over the outstretched arms of the East Henderson goalkeeper after sailing about 25-30 yards.
Christ School improves to 2-1-0 and plays its next game Friday at home against Covenant Day.
