Christ School varsity lacrosse's seven seniors.

Everyone on Christ School varsity lacrosse’s sideline agreed that Saturday was the team’s finest moment so far this season.

Which means it was a proper Senior Day send-off for Sam Bassett '22, Charlie Bednar '22, Sawyer Breiter '22, Jack Britts '22, Nick Crowley '22, Nate Kelley '22, and Emmett Paradine '22.

The Greenies paid tribute to their seven seniors beforehand, then played their most complete game yet – a 12-4 home win over McCallie School (Tenn.).

Christ School (9-3) got two goals apiece from Sam, Nate, Christian Hudson ’23, and Jack Shimer ’23. Emmett, Nick, Tidiane Gakou ’23 and Caden Paradine ’25 each scored one. Sam and Jack matched one another with a team-high two assists.

McCallie is a Chattanooga school renowned for having one of the strongest athletic programs in Tennessee and is the alma mater of Christ School Head of School Dr. Sean Jenkins.

The Blue Tornado (10-4) was a formidable opponent early on Saturday. The score was tied 3-3 in the second quarter when a goal from Christian kickstarted a 7-0 Greenie scoring run. Sam scored with just 1.5 seconds left in the second quarter to give Christ School a 7-3 halftime lead.

Lucas Little ’24 made eight saves and backup goalkeeper Judson Meyers ’25 had his share of moments late in the game, too. More photos from Senior Day can be found at this link.

The next game for Christ School is Wednesday at Asheville School.
