Mind you, it is only March. However, Christ School varsity lacrosse is already digging down for the championship-type grit and tenacity that coach Benjie Colberg hopes to see in the coming months.

Staring down a 6-4 deficit with 6:30 to go in regulation Tuesday night, the Greenies not only rallied for three goals. Emmett Paradine ’22 scored with 3:19 left in the second sudden-death overtime period to give the team a dramatic 8-7 win at Cannon School.

Emmett (two goals, one assist) shared the offensive load for the undefeated Greenies (6-0) with Christian Hudson ‘23 (two goals, one assist), Mikey Peralta ‘21 (two goals), Sean Dow ‘21 (one goal, two assists), and Sam Bassett ‘22 (one goal).

Sam Brie ‘21 made 14 saves.

Christ School trailed 5-4 at halftime and by the same score entering the fourth quarter.  The Greenies play their next game Saturday at Charlotte Providence Day (5-1). Game time is 1 p.m.
