Anthony Robinson ’23 matures as a post player with every game for Christ School.

Take a look at his stat line from Wednesday night.

The 6-foot-10 junior from Peachtree City, Ga., recorded his third straight double-double, leading the Greenies in points (18) and rebounds (10).

Bryson Cokley ’24 added 10 points. And even without two starters, Varsity Basketball had more than enough firepower for its first foray into the Carolinas Athletic Association, a 65-38 conference rout of visiting Carolina Day.

Christ School (9-6, 1-0) did not trail again after an and-one by Jozohn Price ‘24 in the game’s first two minutes. The Greenies hit the Wildcats (5-4, 0-2) with a 21-3 scoring run in the third quarter. The backcourt of Quinton Cancel ’23 (nine points), Diego Rojas Bowe ‘25 (eight), and Ty Besses ’22 (seven) combined for 24 points. Jozohn had six points, Zack Myers ’24 chipped in three, and Matthew Pethel ‘23 and Bruce White ‘24 scored two each.

Christ School’s next game is Saturday at home against Concord Christian. The varsity game tips off at 3 p.m., following a JV matchup between the two schools.
