Truett Compton ‘25 has some Thanksgiving Break plans in Virginia.
They involve soccer, of course.
Rosters have been announced for Friday night’s Continental Tire/Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) Regional League Selection Game, with Truett being chosen to represent Christ School, the Highland Football Club, and North Carolina as a whole.
Players from all over the country, including California and Texas, will be part of the 6 p.m. game at the River City Sportsplex in Midlothian, Va., which is just outside of Richmond.
Truett has been selected as a midfielder. The junior from Fairview, N.C., was an NCISAA 4-A all-state player and part of the Carolinas Athletic Association all-conference team this past season for the Greenies (10-11-1).
He caught the eye of the ECNL staff through his club play for HFC, which is based out of Asheville.
