Tennis Cruises in First Conference Match

Winning another conference championship will require taking every opponent seriously.

Christ School played some of its best tennis yet to win Thursday afternoon's Carolinas Athletic Association opener at Asheville Christian Academy, 8-1.

William Davis ‘27 (No. 5) and William Paschall ‘24 (No. 6) did not lose a game in their singles matches and Christ School (2-2, 1-0) swept all three doubles matches. Other victorious Greenies in singles were Ben Fedder ’24 at No. 1, Jani Erdi ’25 at No. 2, and Norwood Bryan ‘26 at No. 3.

Back-to-back wins give the team some momentum heading into the holiday break and next match – Wednesday at home against Rabun Gap (Ga.). The Eagles and ACA each have one conference loss. Christ School and Asheville School are 1-0 and Carolina Day has yet to play its first CAA match.
