Recent Christ School graduate Taylor Kuehn ’23 went low, way low Thursday to win the 74th Carolinas Junior Boys Championship in Cary, N.C.

Taylor had an eagle and seven birdies to close with a final round score of 65 and a three-day total of 10-under 206 (72-69-65) for the tournament at Prestonwood Country Club.

“I felt like I was just extremely comfortable over the golf ball today,” Taylor said in a Carolinas Golf Association press release.

“I just felt really at peace and felt like I had control over my swing, my putting, my chipping.”

This is Taylor's second CGA tournament victory - he also won November's Carolinas Collegiate Showcase in Greensboro, N.C., by one stroke.

Taylor has signed with Samford University and was an all-state and all-conference player for the Greenies as a senior.
