Trends take time to develop. Christ School swimming’s inroads as of late with the Carolinas Athletic Association Championship Meet cannot be ignored.
For only the second time since 2003 – and the second year in a row – the Greenies had multiple individual CAA champions Wednesday inside Asheville School’s Ambler Pool.
Nolan Johnson ’27 doubled up in 100-yard backstroke (1:00.76) and 200-yard individual medley (2:14.19), while Spencer Thompson ’26 won his second career CAA title in the 50-yard freestyle (23.23).
Together, their points allowed the Greenies to come in second place as a team (98 points) to the host Blues (139) for the second year in a row.
Nolan and Spencer teamed with Evan Reich ’26 and Owen Johnson ’28 to finish second in the medley relay (1:52.90) and with Owen and William Sharp ’27 to place second in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:53.16).
