Christ School swimming was the third-place boys team in Wednesday’s Carolinas Athletic Association Championship Meet held at Asheville School.
The Greenies got two CAA runner-up swims each from John Barton ‘25 (200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle) and Jake Landis ‘25 (200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke), while third-place finishes were Tyler Thompson ‘24 (200-yard individual medley) and Davis Mohorn ‘24 (100-yard breaststroke).
Christ School was second in the 400-yard freestyle relay and third in the Medley Relay.
Plenty of other boys lowered their personal-record times with Leo Lagutin ‘24 (100-yard backstroke) and Myles Murphy ‘26 (100-yard butterfly) qualifying for the NCISAA Division I state meet which is Feb. 13 in Cary, N.C.
“I am so proud and impressed by the professionalism of our swimmers,” Coach Brent Harris said. “They consistently improve, and they do it with vigor.”
