The Christmas-themed Jingle Bell SPLASH will be the only meet that Christ School swimming hosts this season, and the Greenies optimized their time in friendly water Saturday.
The team had three different swimmers win individual events – Owen Johnson ‘28 (200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle), Evan Reich ’26 (100-yard breaststroke), and Spencer Thompson ’26 (50-yard freestyle) – and a total of seven personal records.
Team-wise, Christ School (226 points) placed third behind Rabun Gap (252) and A.C. Reynolds (247) with the help of two first-place relays – the 200 medley (Evan, Spencer, Alex Jarrett ‘26, and Nolan Johnson ‘27) and the 200 freestyle (Alex, Nolan, Spencer, and William Sharp ‘27).
Saturday’s meet was held at the Buncombe County Schools Aquatic Center, which is just over 4 miles from campus.
