Student Life and Residential Awards Announced

Friday was the final Assembly before Thanksgiving Break and included Christ School’s monthly Student and Residential Life Awards.

Nominations for the awards are submitted by the faculty and their anonymous comments about each Greenie are in quotations below. These boys had their names read aloud by Dean of Students Drew Hyche ’94 and Special Assistant to the Head of School/Dean of Campus Life Benjie Colberg.

STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Havilah Cooper ’23: “This student is always willing to participate in activities, he rallies others into Greenie Spirit, and encourages them to show off their strengths. He has helped coordinate successful open-mic nights, takes charge of activities in the dorm, and is a trusted, friendly companion for those who know him.”

Kaden Brown ‘24: “This student is always nice and polite and engages in conversation. He doesn't complain when asked to help or pitch in at his dorm, especially with nightly jobs. He just goes out and does it. He is a force to be reckoned with in terms of energy on the field (even though he got injured at the beginning of this football season), in the classroom, in the dorm, and in all interactions with his peers.”

ROOMMATES OF THE MONTH

Vovi Lagutin ‘23 and Gavin Gosnell ‘24: “These guys’ room is always impeccably clean. They get along well, and even spend time together on the weekends as friends bowling, gaming, and competing in Dorm Wars. They are wonderful guys on dorm job, too.”

SENIOR LEADER OF THE MONTH

J.D. Steven ’23: “This guy, even when he is not on duty, is always ready to help do the job. He is one of the most well-liked students but does not let that get in the way of his duty. Everyone who has worked with him always seems to be in a better mood the next day. He leads by example. He’s often found early morning in the commons finishing assignments or studying for tests. A genuine leader and all-around good guy.”
