Six Straight Wins for Varsity Lacrosse

Two outcomes were likely on Tuesday: Either get caught looking ahead or turn it up another notch.

Christ School varsity lacrosse chose the latter. Clearly.

The Greenies assured that Friday’s home game with Durham Academy will be all it's billed to be by clearing the final hurdle. An 8-2 win over visiting Rabun Gap was not as close as the final score – Palo Miles ‘27 (three goals) and Cayden Paradine ’25 (three) combined for six goals after Liam Burnett ’28 first got the Greenies on the board at the 4:57 mark of the opening quarter.

Hunter Sanford ’25 swooped in for the second goal with 3:42 left in the first quarter and the Eagles (8-6) were not able to get a shot past Jameson Dow ’27 until the final 10 minutes of play.

Christ School (11-4) has reeled off six consecutive wins – a streak that began with the first Rabun Gap game (a much tighter 6-5 victory April 4 in Georgia) – ahead of Friday’s game with Durham Academy (13-2) that could decide the No. 1 seed for the NCISAA Division I state playoffs.

The start time is 4:30 p.m. and it will be Senior Day for the following Greenies: Caden, Hunter, Wells Edwards ’25, Joe Gilliam ’25, Elijah Graziosi ’25, Thomas Johnson ’25, Serg Kitt ’25, Jake Landis ’25, Nolan Miller ’25, Xander Ring ’25, Tucker Semans ’25, Carter Sherwood ’25, Nate Wilberding ’25, and Noah Wood ’25.
