Father John Roberts led this year's Palm Sunday service at St. Joseph's Chapel.

Christ School’s annual Palm Sunday service capped a busy weekend for the boys.

Father John Roberts led the service inside and outside St. Joseph's Chapel on a sunny, picturesque spring afternoon.

Palm Sunday recalls an event in Christian scripture of Jesus entering Jerusalem and being greeted by people waving palm branches. It is the beginning of Holy Week.

Elsewhere, it was announced that the Christ School Cares Spring Food Drive will provide 704 meals for families in need. Director of Service Learning Olga Mahoney P’20 and students dropped off the school’s donation of 845 pounds of food to community partner Calvary Episcopal Church.

Fly-fishing and zip-lining were among the Student Activities offered over the final weekend before Easter Break.

History instructor Corey Lawson moonlights as a professional fishing guide and Director of Admission Palmer Straughn is an avid angler as well. The two led Saturday’s trip to the North Mills River.

Easter Break for Christ School begins Friday at noon and runs through April 19.
