Noah Clancy '26 Wins College Race with PR Time

BOONE – Noah Clancy ’26 went on a solo mission Saturday.

Not only did Noah not have any teammates to pace him for a longer race, the 5,000 meters at Appalachian State University’s John Weaver Invitational was run at higher altitude against college competition.

Saturday’s end result was another personal record and race win for Christ School’s distance corps.

Noah won by 31 seconds in 15:40.03, which is No. 2 to only Kahzi Sealey ’23 (15:37.56) in terms of all-time performances by a Greenies runner in the 12 and a half-lap event. Noah’s previous best was 15:44.95.

Noah is from Maggie Valley, N.C., and has signed to run college cross country and track for Iona University.
