Mikey Wilkins '25 Makes HighSchoolOT All-State Team

Mikey Wilkins ’25 came to Christ School with a three-fold mission.

To win a state championship with his cousin, improve as a basketball player, and increase his college stock.

Done, done, and done.

Congratulations to Mikey for being named to this year’s HighSchoolOT all-state team.

Mikey was one of 15 first-team selections selected from a pool of all North Carolina private and public-school players.

The 6-foot-8 power forward from Rutherfordton, N.C., averaged 13.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game for the back-to-back NCISAA 4-A state champion Greenies (26-5). He had 17 points and nine rebounds in the state-championship game, a 56-45 win over Charlotte Providence Day on Feb. 25 in Raleigh.

Mikey shared Carolinas Athletic Association Player of the Year honors with his cousin, senior point guard Keenan Wilkins ’24. Both were named to the NCISAA 4-A all-state team along with senior guard/wing Lleyton Thomas-Johnson '24.

Mikey's latest major Division I scholarship offer came from Villanova on April 11. His other offers include Georgetown, N.C. State, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Seton Hall, Minnesota, LSU, Appalachian State, Texas A&M, Illinois, West Virginia, Morgan State, and Virginia Tech.
