Mason Plumlee '09 Signs With San Antonio Spurs

Spurred right into a playoff race.

Mason Plumlee ’09 has prolonged his 13th season in the NBA by agreeing to a contract with the San Antonio Spurs, who with a 44-17 overall record, are only three games back of defending world champion Oklahoma City (48-15) for the best record in the Western Conference.

Mason began this season with the Charlotte Hornets and was gracious with every one of the Christ School boys who were able to attend a November 15 game in Charlotte versus Oklahoma City.

Mason’s NBA career stands alone as the longest by any player to ever emanate from a Western North Carolina high school. He has started 480 games and has 71 playoff appearances.

"I think I've seen guys check in for five minutes and turn a game around. That's the way I look at it,” Mason told the San Antonio Express News of his role with the Spurs.

Mason is bringing his basketball camp back to Christ School for a fourth year this summer. https://www.plumleebasketball.com/
