There are a lot of ways to describe the impact that Madden Collins ’25 had on the American University basketball program.
The statistics remove all the gray area.
Despite not starting any of his first 32 college games for the Eagles (16-16), Madden (429 points) came up just 18 points shy of the freshman record for scoring held by Sa’eed Nelson (447). He averaged 13.4 points per game and led American in steals (40) and blocks (14).
American’s season ended with a Patriot League tournament loss to Boston University on March 5. Madden was selected to the Patriot League all-rookie team and was a third-team all-conference selection.
Madden was part of two state-championship runs in his time as a Greenie (2024 and 2025). He was the Prefect in Young House his senior year with a weighted grade-point average well over 4.0.
