Lleyton Thomas-Johnson '24 Commits to Play College Basketball

Just in time for a playoff run, Lleyton Thomas-Johnson ’24 has taken away the distraction of where he will play college basketball.

Lleyton announced Thursday on his social media that he has verbally committed to Washington University in St. Louis.

Lleyton is a 6-foot-4 guard/wing from Asheville who is averaging 6.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game for the Carolinas Athletic Association champion Greenies (22-5). He is one of the team’s best defensive stoppers and has been a mainstay in the starting lineup.

Lleyton is a Proctor in South Carolina House and part of the National Honor Society. Back in November, he was chosen for a $1,000 AFLAC Scholarship at the Phenom Hoops George Lynch Invitational.

Lleyton and eight other seniors for Christ School will play their final regular-season home game Friday night when the Greenies take on the South Charlotte Thunder. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

The brackets for the NCISAA 4-A state playoffs should be released Sunday.
