
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Optimism is warranted for the future of Christ School baseball, evidenced by 11 wins and counting for the JV Greenies.
Zach Byrd ‘28 was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs and Pablo Neme ‘27 went 2-3 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs in Monday’s 11-2 win at the Greenville (S.C.) Hurricanes.
Christ School (11-1-2) broke open a tie game with nine runs in the top of the fifth inning and outhit the Hurricanes, 12-1. Other leading hitters were Lou Boatwright ‘27 (1-for-2 with an RBI and three walks), Neo Smith ‘27 (1-2 with a double, 2 RBIs), and Alex Cocklin ’27 (2-3 with a double, RBI).
The next game for the team is Wednesday vs. Asheville Christian Academy.

Christ School varsity baseball completed a season sweep of Asheville Christian Academy in Monday’s final Carolinas Athletic Association game for both teams.
Wells Alderman ‘26 homered, had a triple, and pitched an inning of scoreless relief. By that time – the fifth inning – the Greenies (7-14-1) had already scored all their runs. Corbin Spilliards ‘27 went 3-3 with a double and two RBIs. Jonathan Reece ‘25 and Henry Tutera ‘28 matched Wells with two hits apiece. Winning pitcher Garin Gosnell ’28 threw four innings, allowing one run (none earned), two hits and three walks,
Christ School and Rabun Gap both finished with 3-1 records in the CAA. A third game between the teams (won by the Eagles) did not count towards the conference standings.
