Every time we think the Class of 2025 have outdone themselves, they go and do it again!
Congratulations to Jaylen Daniels ’25, who received the notification this past weekend that he is a Gates Scholar.
Jaylen hails from Greenville, N.C., and plans to attend Howard University. He serves as a Proctor in Noland House and is one of the leaders of our Black Student Union. His award is the latest piece of good news for Christ School’s Class of 2025, which came into this week with $4.1 million in scholarships.
The Gates Scholarship’s namesake, Bill Gates, co-founded Microsoft in 1975 and was the richest man in the world from 2005 to 2017. Over time, he has reduced his role at Microsoft to focus on philanthropy with the Gates Foundation, the world’s largest private charitable organization.
