James Warmbrod '94 Returns for Veterans Day Service

Greenies gave one of their own a standing ovation in Tuesday’s chapel service, a morning specially dedicated to Veterans Day.

James Warmbrod ’94 served as an infantryman with the U.S. Army’s 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, enlisting after he graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology.

“When you serve, the world gets smaller,” James told the boys.

“It’s not about politics, it’s not about medals, it’s about the man to your left and the man to your right. You eat together, you fight together, you laugh together, and you grieve together. No matter how hard it gets, you keep going, not for yourself, but for them. That’s what brotherhood truly means.”

Faith, honor, service.

James said these are three things that were instilled in him during his time at Christ School and remain part of his moral fiber to this day. James is a former Prefect and past winner of the Philip N. Tilghman Memorial Award.

“God Bless America, thank you, and God Bless our veterans, our nation, and our brotherhood we share at Christ School,” James said in conclusion.
