Owen Gillespie ‘26 placed fourth at 120 pounds, while Rory Jennings ‘28 (150 pounds) and Aidan Beatty ‘27 (175 pounds) reached the quarterfinals in their weight classes at last weekend’s Falcon Frenzy tournament hosted by West Henderson.

Thank you to all the parents and families who showed up this weekend at West Henderson High School. It was great to have the support. We saw more improvement, just as we would hope for. It was great to see three wrestlers get their first wins, too (James Ballantyne ‘30, Miles Mercer ‘29, and Caleb White ‘27), and much of what we saw from the rest demonstrated significant improvement. Whether winning or losing, we saw wrestlers move better on the mat using much of what they have been taught. And as usual, we are still finding things to target.
As a coaching staff, we've enjoyed watching (and discussing) our wrestlers' progress. This weekend saw the CS wrestling program's first place-winner in a varsity competition in 10 years! Also, congrats to our two JV second-place wrestlers (Thomas Hunter and Ian Freund) and our three JV third-place wrestlers (Owen Reich ‘29, Caleb White ‘27, and Jovi Wijesinghe ‘29) and to the rest of our competitors and victors. We have a long way to go, but we're proud of what we've seen so far.
