Greenies Swimmers Head to State Meet

Christ School swimming has qualified eight individuals and three relays for Monday’s N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association Division I state meet in Greensboro.

The Greenies were the runner-up team in the Buncombe County meet and placed third at last week’s Carolinas Athletic Association meet.

Representing them Monday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center will be: Colin Brazas ’22 (100-yard backstroke and 200-yard individual medley), Daniel Du ’22 (100-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle), Aidan Galpin ’21 (100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle), Frank Howden ’22 (100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard individual medley), Jake Jarrett ’24 (100-yard backstroke and 200-yard freestyle), Sam Jarrett ’22 (100-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle), Grayson Scott ’21 (50-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke), and Charlie Thomas ’21 (100-yard freestyle).

Head coach Kevin Lisska also shared the lineups for Christ School’s relays – medley relay (Colin, Grayson, Daniel, and Sam), 200-yard freestyle relay (Grayson, Charlie, Jake, and Frank), and 400-yard freestyle relay (Daniel, Sam, Aidan and Frank).

Preliminary trials begin Monday at 7:45 a.m. and will be followed by the finals.
