Greenies Put on Defensive Clinic in Georgia

RABUN GAP, Ga. – Play careless and loose with the basketball against this Christ School team, and it’s going to be a long night.

Even at home.

After a competitive first quarter, Varsity Basketball forced Rabun Gap (Ga.) into turnover after turnover in Tuesday’s second and third quarters. The Eagles scored only five total points over those 16 minutes as the Greenies converted easy baskets on the other end.

Senior guards Kingston Whitty ’26 (24 points) and Dacen Petty ’26 (13) combined for 37 points, enough to win a 61-25 road game themselves. The Greenies took a 40-point lead into the fourth quarter, which was played entirely with a running clock.

Rabun Gap is always a difficult venue for visiting teams, and the Eagles’ best quarter was the first, where they put up 12 points compared to 17 for Christ School. Remaining scorers for the Greenies (14-3) were Tyler Jones ‘26 (eight points), Micah Goodlow ‘28 (five), BJ Houston ‘29 (four), Hudson Hatch ‘28 (four), Dylan Twitty ‘27 (two), and Jeremy Horton ‘26 (one).
