ROCK HILL, S.C. – Well-traveled and well-tested.

Christ School varsity basketball has already gone to Charlotte for four games and was in South Carolina for the second time this week Saturday.

The Greenies’ depth caught up with undefeated Wilson (S.C.) in the Battle at the Rock showcase. USC Upstate recruit Jamari Briggs ’24 led five players in double figures with 15 points and was named the MVP of a 63-48 win.

Mikey Wilkins ’25 backed up Jamari with 12 points and Christ School got 10 each from seniors Lleyton Thomas-Johnson ’24, Keenan Wilkins ’24, and George Mason recruit Bryson Cokley ’24, as well as five points from T.J. Hamilton ‘24.

Saturday’s matchup wasn’t finalized until earlier this week when the Tigers (3-1) out of Florence, S.C., stepped in as a replacement for another team. They gave the Greenies (7-1) some difficulty early on but trailed 15-12 at the end of the first quarter, 32-24 at halftime, and 47-32 after three quarters.

Next up for Christ School is the team’s first home game since Nov. 10. The Greenies host Carolina Day on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
