Dallas Reeves ‘27, Reynolds Young ‘27, Noah Clancy ‘26, and Brooks Barbee ‘27 shined under the bright lights Saturday night, racing to a runner-up spot on the podium and state record in the 4-mile relay at the New Balance Nationals Indoor meet.
The Greenies (17:09.89) were second only to a team from Herriman, Utah (16:58.10), but to put things in perspective, Christ School would have won this year’s Nike Indoor Nationals meet in the same event by nearly 9 seconds. North Carolina’s previous record in the 4-mile relay, belonging to Cary High School, was in the 17:30s and dated back to the 2019 New Balance Nationals Indoor.
