Greenies Gather for Palm Sunday, Easter Dinner

Four impactful and time-honored pillars – Academic Rigor, Leadership, Spirituality, and the Dignity of Manual Labor – make Christ School the most formative place for boys seeking education and growth.

The four pillars interweave with one another harmoniously for much of the year, as they should, but one stands alone in the present moment.

Holy Week? Say no more.

This most sacred week on the Christian calendar is an ode to the third pillar of Spirituality – a week the Christ School community celebrates together starting with our annual Palm Sunday service and Easter Dinner.

Procuring enough palm branches for 300 boys and the faculty in a region so inhospitable to the trees requires some advance planning but is entirely worth it. The branches were blessed and handed out to everyone prior to Sunday’s chapel service, followed by dinner with the boys seated by their advisory.

Delectable highlights of the holiday menu from SAGE Dining were Gaucho Steak with Chimichurri Sauce, cheddar mashed potatoes, garlic parmesan broccoli, cauliflower steaks, Brazilian roasted chicken, and various cakes for dessert.
