Christ School soccer made big strides this fall, coming in second in the Carolinas Athletic Association and earning a home game for the NCISAA 4-A state playoffs.

The Greenies (9-9) won seven more games than they did in the 2020 season, an improvement which is reflected in individual awards for the current team.

Carter Compton ‘24 represents Christ School on the NCISAA 4-A all-state team. The sophomore midfielder from Fairview, N.C., also made the All-CAA team along with defenders Brendan Regan ‘24 and Jackson Knoll ‘23.

Carter appeared in all 18 games for the Greenies and his statistics were four goals and three assists. Additionally, Carter's play was essential to the team’s six shutouts, as were the contributions of Brendan and Jackson.

Christ School swept Asheville School and Carolina Day in CAA play and split with Asheville Christian Academy. CAA champion Rabun Gap (Ga.) went on to win the NCISAA 4-A state championship.
