Three seniors from the Christ School lacrosse program are still raking in accolades, months after their final game as Greenies.

Attacker Davis Lindsey ’20, goalkeeper Beau Hecimovich ’20, and midfielder Jack Fitch ’20 were named to the HighSchoolOT.com West All-Senior Team on Monday.

HighSchoolOT.com, which is a digital extension of Raleigh’s WRAL television station, selected 25 seniors from the eastern and western side of the state for its teams.

Davis (Loyola University Maryland), Beau (High Point University) and Jack (University of Vermont) all have college lacrosse in their futures after leading Christ School to a 4-0 record this spring. The Greenies were ranked in several Southeast region polls and had outscored their opponents, 60-12, when the rest of the season was cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic in March.

First-year coach Benjie Colberg saluted all his seniors for the effort they gave this spring. The rest of the group was comprised of Grant Majewski ’20, Theo Pearson ’20, Kevin Masson ’20, Richard Zantzinger ’20, James Cinque ’20, Charlie Tucker ’20, and Jack DuBose ’20.

“This group of seniors will always be special to me, as they were the leaders of my first team here at Christ School,” Coach Colberg said.

“Whenever new leadership steps in, there are changes that occur to what has become customary. I couldn’t be happier with the way these guys adapted to the new, embraced the challenge of change, and pushed themselves and their teammates to be better. They make me very proud to coach here. Each day was filled with energy, and I rarely ever had to hop on them to ‘pick it up.’ This group leaves an incredible mark on this program, and they will be remembered for quite some time. I wouldn’t change a thing about this season, because it is the one that I got to spend with the class of 2020. It’s my hope that they stay engaged with our program as they move on from Christ School! But for now, I am just grateful for each of these guys and can’t wait to see their future successes.”
