CANTON, N.C. - Over their shoulders, the sun was starting to set Tuesday as every Christ School golfer and coach held up an index finger.
Another photo opportunity for another conference championship team, now 17 years running.
The Greenies shot a season-best score of 300 to win the Carolinas Athletic Association Tournament at Springdale Country Club, led individually by the play of all-conference selections Will Henry ‘26 (even par 72), Hank Bradley ‘27 (74), Levi Ellison ‘27 (76), and Collier Lilly ‘25 (78). Other scores for Christ School were David Gaines ‘26 (85) and Henry Wilhelm ’25 (87).
Every CAA Tournament since 2008 has been won by the Greenies – the 2020 tournament was cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic. First-year coach Gorham Bradley P’27 and the team have one more event left – next week’s NCISAA 4-A state tournament which is spread out over Monday and Tuesday at Greensboro National Golf Club.
