SPARTANBURG, S.C., - Golf ate good on the eve of Easter Break, only after handling business Thursday.
The Greenies defeated Spartanburg Day, 302-314, in a dual match played at the Country Club of Spartanburg.
The team was led individually by Levi Ellison ‘27 (73), Hudson Hatch ’28 (76), Will Henry ’26 (76), Jack Teague ’29 (77), and David Gaines ’26 (77).
Christ School's return home included a pit stop at the world-famous Beacon Drive-In, a Greenie favorite known for its chili-cheeseburgers, BBQ, and classic Southern side dishes. The Beacon claims to sell more tea than any other restaurant in the U.S.
Did you know the Beacon has a Christ School connection besides the multitude of hungry boys it has fed? The restaurant was founded on Thanksgiving Day 1946 by John B. White, who is Mrs. Jenkins’s grandfather.
