LILBURN, Ga. - Win No. 1 for Greenie football under coach Clint Alexander was a win by committee Friday night in Georgia.
Jackson Tolbert ’27 connected with Zach Byrd ‘28 for two touchdown passes (9 and 12 yards) and four other Christ School players scored touchdowns in a 44-14 win that had a running clock for the entire second half.
Logan Woolsey ‘27 got the rout started with a 27-yard pick-six interception in the first quarter. After the defense forced its second safety in two games, Dre Smith ‘27 returned the ensuing kickoff 65 yards to make the score 31-0 with 2:39 until halftime.
Jackson Cancel ‘26 (37 yards) and Brayden Smith ‘27 (2 yards) rushed for touchdowns.
Christ School (1-1) returns home next Friday for a 7 p.m. game versus Cardinal Newman (S.C.).
