Grey Edens ’25 and Walker Edens '25 truly get the best of both worlds.
By attending Christ School, the two brothers are never far from hundreds of miles of natural whitewater. And their hometown of Charlotte is where the manmade rapids of the U.S. National Whitewater Center can be found.
Factor in the hard work shown by Grey and Walker this semester and Outdoor Program Director Mike Mohney said the Greenies are more than deserving of this week’s trip to the International Canoe Federation Freestyle Kayaking World Cup in Columbus, Ga.
Grey and Walker are leaving Wednesday and will be accompanied on the trip by Outdoor Program coach Leigh Harris.
The ICF competition is expected to include more than 100 kayakers from 16 countries and takes place Friday through Sunday at the RushSouth Whitewater Park in Columbus.
