Charlotte is starting to look greener than ever.
Congratulations to Dallas Reeves ’27, who announced Wednesday night through his social media that he has verbally committed to run college cross country and track for UNC Charlotte.
The 49ers previously secured a commitment from Brody Webb ’27 and Charlotte is the program where one of Dallas’s cousins, alumnus Jackson Burch ’22, matriculated to after graduation.
Dallas is a senior from Canton, N.C., who has run a personal record of 15 minutes, 13.20 seconds for 5 kilometers (3.1 miles). He has been part of three school-record relay teams in the track – the 3,200-meter relay (7:46.47), the 6,400-meter relay (18:00.35), and indoor 4-mile relay (17:09.89). Other personal records include 1:53.40 for 800 meters and 4:10.06 for the 1,600.
The Class of 2027 now has 12 seniors who have made college sports commitments and five of them run distance for Christ School – Dallas, Brody, Brooks Barbee ’27 (University of Oregon), Ben Graham (John Hopkins University), and Reynolds Young ’27 (U.S. Air Force Academy).
