Back-to-back championships in NCISAA 4-A and the Carolinas Athletic Association are a legacy still in the making for Christ School cross country.

Seven seniors went out as winners in the 2023 season’s only home meet Wednesday.

It was the final on-campus race for individual winner Dawson Reeves ’24 (15:18.99), runner-up Eyob Gill ’24 (15:49.78), Luke Parrish ’24 (sixth place, 17:13.32), Patrick Wang ’24 (ninth, 17:32.92), Mark Yee ’24 (19th, 18:38.26), Noah Hunt ’24 (47th, 21:08.85), and Bill Zhou ’24 (94th, 31:07.04).

Dawson committed to Duke University last month and Wednesday was only his second competition as an ACC recruit. Dawson broke away in the first mile to run his best-ever time on Christ School's course, which is a triple loop layout, mostly on grass.

The next race for Christ School is Saturday’s NCRunners Elite Invitational at the Ivey Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville, N.C., a course best known for hosting each year’s public-school state meet.
