Cross Country is Top N.C. Team at Eye-Opener Meet

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Saturday was an encouraging start to the season for Christ School’s top runners at the Eye-Opener Cross Country Festival.

The Greenies (241 points) placed third out of 38 teams in the International Boys race behind two South Carolina schools – Greer Middle College Charter (129) and Fort Mill (191).

Individual results for the team were: Dawson Reeves ’24 (ninth place 15:51.40), Eyob Gill ’24 (11th, 15:52.30), Dallas Reeves ’27 (51st, 16:43.90), Luke Parrish ’24 (82nd, 17:07.10), Patrick Wang ’24 (95th (17:15.80), Nate Wilberding ’25 (214th, 18:45.10), and Mark Yee ‘24 (295th, 20:14.10).

The Eye-Opener is traditionally the first big meet of every new year for Christ School, which is the two-time defending state champion in NCISAA 4-A.
