Walter Montgomery, Jr. ’47, P’93, P’96, P’98, GP’24, GP’25 was a tireless supporter of Christ School, a titan in the Upstate South Carolina business community, and known throughout the Carolinas for his philanthropy and volunteerism.
It is with heavy heart that we share that Walter passed away Wednesday at age 93.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 8th at 4 p.m. at The Episcopal Church of the Advent in Spartanburg, S.C. For more details regarding his arrangements, please see Walter’s obituary at this link.
Walter and his wife Betty's love for Christ School has been passed on through generations and their support has had a profound impact on all Greenies. Walter served on the Board of Trustees at Christ School for more than 50 years.
