Triple platinum!
The Rule of Threes says it’s neither luck, nor a coincidence. It’s now a pattern of sustained academic excellence and rigor for Christ School which has received the highest possible designation (Platinum) on the AP School Honor Roll for the third year in a row.
Criteria for platinum status:
- More than 80 percent of our seniors took at least one AP exam.
- At least 50 percent of the seniors scored a 3 or higher on one or more exam.
- Finally, the Greenies surpassed the threshold needed (15 percent) for students who took at least five or more AP exams through their high school careers, with at least one taken in the 9th or 10th grade.
Academic Rigor is the first of Christ School's four foundational pillars; the curriculum here currently offers boys a choice of 27 AP courses and 33 honors courses.
The AP School Honor recognizes schools that have done outstanding work to welcome more students into AP courses and support them on the path to college success. The full AP Honor Roll will be announced on January 30. Christ School was the only Asheville area independent school to earn Platinum recognition last year.
